The Dutch company Vitro Chemie was founded in 1994 by Jack Timmermans. For many years various custom made ELISA test kits have been developed and produced. Recently, the company has introduced a new product line of test kits for the determination of vitamins in food and supplements. In addition we have a test kit for the determination of trace amounts of beta-lactoglobulin in food.

The company has expertise in the fields of immunochemistry, organic chemistry, assay development (i.e. colorimetric, (time-resolved) fluorescent and chemoluminescent assays.

The latest R&D project is the development of (time-resolved) fluorescent assays using fluorescent microbeads and polymers. These assays, requiring no enzmes and substrates, is a promising new tool in the diagnostic field.
